My favorite holiday
There is something interesting about this, because if you asked me this question 5 years ago I would said Christmas, without thinking it a lot, because you receive gifts of people you love, also you buy gifts to them, and have this family environment and it is a good time of the year if you have a good family relation as I am lucky to have. I still have fun on Christmas, but it is not the same because you start to think about bad things about this time of the year, like lonely people or poor people or about consumerism or why are you celebrating this if you are not on the religion mood and stuff like that.

If you ask me now I am going to say that the National Day or Fiestas Patrias or 18 de Septiembre, because there is a part of the year that everyone is on the celebrating mood, it is so own of our country and I can have fun with my friends and also with my family. It’s like a whole week of party, where you eat, drink, and dance a lot. 


Ps: I have to said that I also enjoy Easter and Halloween because of the chocolate and the candies J

    I think the same about Christmas, concering poor people. That´s why me and my family celebrate Christmas without so much pomposity.

    Las Fiestas Patrias are cool but I can't stand it a lot.

    I like how you think about christmas, it's a really sad reality. About holidays, in my case my favorite is Halloween, because I <3 candies.

GPOY (gratuitous picture of yourself) To start talking about this picture, I have to said that this summer I went to my aunt’s house in Chaitén, to work on her restaurant and spent time with her and my cousin, because we never see each other because both live so far away of me and my other family. So, this picture was taken one of the last days I was there, with my cousin. This day we had a picnic day in a beautiful place near Chaitén called “El Amarillo” with all the guys that worked on the pizzeria (we all were between 16-23 years old). English Language Challenges

To not talk only about English I’m going to mention the whole experience this semester, but first of English. I have to say that i liked the blog dynamic , because I like to have an own blog and decorated it, I enjoyed that part, more than writing stuffs, because I think I am not an interesting person that people would like to read about my life and it is weird to write about myself. I am so glad that the classes were not the common boring grammar lessons. There are two things I would change: I think that maybe the classes could be oriented to teach as how to translate the papers that we have to read to the other subjects like the vocabulary or technical terms and stuffs like that, to make the course have a sense of really helping the students with university life. The second one is the attendance, because there are times that I have a lot of things to do, but I am afraid of fail the subject because of the attendance. What are you really into? Today, like in this moment I am not really into anything, because college uses all my time, every time! It is horrible (Okay not all the time, but it feels like that). But I have been always in love with Harry Potter. I read all the books a lot of times; I have watched the movies thousands of times, etc. My love starts on 7 grade when my school forced me to read the third book (I have to admit that when I was little Harry Potter scared me a little, because all He –That-Must-Not-Be-Named stuff), so I read it against my will, but I really, really loved it, so I decide to read the  others books and watch the movies. Another thing that I really like of the story is this idea of the magic world hidden in our “real” world. Also my favorite books are the half-blood prince, and the prisoner of Azkaban.
